We are planning a new Fire Station in the western part of Ferndale. Thanks to great partnerships with local businesses and organizations in our area we can do great things. Recently we officially secured a donation of land that will allow us to construct a building on the Pulaski County/Saline County line just off Brush Mountain Trail near Deer Drive. This is a strategic acquisition with the goal to lower the insurance fire rating (ISO PPC) for residents further than 5 miles from the current Ferndale station. The result could mean lower homeowners’ insurance costs. We will be starting a capital campaign soon to raise funds for the construction of the new building and we hope we can count on you for financial support. Please note that the current station on Kanis is not being moved, only another station (Station 6) is being added to supplement the area.
