Arkansas Fire Academy Training

  • Arkansas Fire Academy Off-Campus Courses are listed at the following link http://www.sautech.edu/afta/AFAoffcampusschedule.aspx.
  • Contact 400 or training officer for approval prior to submission of training request through AFA.
  • 24 hours of certified training is required for  calendar year 2009 to remain active on West Pulaski Fire Department.

Federal Compliance FEMA Training

FEMA Training is available online. Firefighters are required to complete IC700,  IC100 and IC200 course online. Links are listed below to required and optional training courses. When you have completed a course, provide a copy of the completion certificate to your station officers and Station #1 for your permanent training record.

IS-100.a – Introduction to the Incident Command System

IS-200.a – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

IS-700.A – National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction

IS-701 – NIMS Multiagency Coordination System

IS-703 – NIMS Resource Management

IS-706 – NIMS Intrastate Mutual Aid, An Introduction

IS-800.B – National Response Framework, An Introduction

 

 WPFD Monthly Training (Department Wide) 

WPFD Departmentwide Training will be announced each month. All station officers and firefighters are expected to attend. 400 or 456 will announce day and times which usually occurs on the first Tuesday of each month (subject to change as needed).

 

WPFD Specialized Training-

  • WPFD Driver Operator Training is underway- 400 or 456 will announce day and times for training. Currently this course is being held one or two days per week.

     Location: Salem Fire Dept. Station #1 (1785 Salem Rd)

        Date: Thursday, November 5, 2009.
