WPFD responded to a grass fire in the 33000 block of Kanis Road today for an area of 4-5 acres. Dry conditions and wind in the area near a recent campfire likely contributed to this burn and could have been worse when a propane tank was located in the middle of the burn area. Crews quickly got the fire under control and minimized the spread. We always encourage you to make sure you FULLY extinguish your fires before leaving them unattended.
